2. Homeschooled students. For homeschooled students taking class(es) at YIA, there is a 200 RMB membership fee per semester. The number of classes a homeschooler can take is limited and beyond this limit, the student will be considered to be enrolled full-time and all fees and tuitions will apply accordingly.

Tuition Payment Schedule

1. Current Student. For current students, tuition payments are due at the beginning of each quarter (or semester for homeschoolers). Parents will be given one week at the start of each quarter to pay the tuition in full.

2. New Student. For new students, tuition payment for the quarter must be made at the time of registration/acceptance or prior to starting classes. New students may not attend YIA without having paid the tuition and other related fees.

3. Prorated Tuition. Tuition fees are not prorated and regardless of when a student begins or ends the quarter, the student is required to pay the full tuition fee for the quarter (semester for homeschoolers). For example, a student who enters school late in the 3rd quarter (March) which began in February will still be required to pay the full quarter’s tuition amount. Tuitions are not calculated based on when a student starts or finishes the quarter.

4. Late Payment. In the event that the balance of the quarters tuition is not paid in full after 2 weeks (including weekends) it is due, the student will not be allowed to attend YIA until the balance is paid in full. The student will be sent back home.

Refund Policy

1. Tuition. Tuition for a given quarter (or semester for homeschooled students) is refundable only within the first five (5) consecutive school days (weekends do not count) in which the student starts attending YIA. In most cases, this would be the first 5 days of the beginning of a quarter.

2. Registration Fee. The one-time registration fee is refundable only within the first five (5) consecutive school days (weekends do not count) in which the student starts to attending YIA for the first time.

3. Partial Refund. As mentioned, tuition fee is not prorated and no partial refund is available outside of the refund period mentioned in item (1.) above.
